ABOUT
“My artistic practice grows from a deeply personal testimony, shaped by the tapestry of cultures that surrounds me. Born in the Dominican Republic, raised in Peru, and embracing my Argentine heritage, I have wandered through Europe, collecting fragments of each place I’ve called home. These fragments—like fossils, stones, or pieces of landscape—mirror an identity in constant flux, capturing memories of family roots, migrations, and transformations.
Working across, painting, collage, and sculpture, I experiment with a variety of textures and materials: recycled cardboard, pigments, silk, cement, inks, and, the delicate shimmer of gold leaf. Each piece emerges as a poetic fragment, a tactile trace of my shifting experiences. In this way, my art invites viewers to embark on their own reflective journeys—discovering personal narratives hidden within its layered textures. From exhibitions like Fragmentum, Fragmentos, and Elementos, my creations speak to the rhythm of life's cycles and the raw energy of natural elements. Ultimately, I hope every artwork opens a space for wonder, urging us to sense the shared fragments of our humanity within its unfolding layers”
In my collaboration with Éléonore de Staël, I explore the subtle conversation between scent and form, particularly through the lens of life’s cycles and motherhood. Here, fragrance becomes a silent guide: I respond to aromatic notes with my sketches, and in turn, these visual forms inspire a refinement of the scent. This wordless exchange resonates on an intuitive level, blending the invisible with the tangible. When I work with layers of plexiglass, the artwork emerges in a dance between the unseen and the revealed. Its final form remains a mystery until it is arranged in the box. Each piece plays with three or four levels, inviting the viewer to reassemble its elements and even experience its scent. It mirrors life’s cycles—unseen transformations, like secret hormones, constantly rearranging us.”
