CORRESPONDANCE BETWEEN SENSES

In collaboration with the artist collective (IN)Visible, the gallery offers a unique immersive experience through a dialogue between visual arts and perfume. 3 visual artists : Yiriane Kahn, Karine Lahanier and Mai Khanh Pham To have produced exclusive pieces in co-creation with creative perfumer Éléonore de Staël, where each integrates the olfactory dimension in a personal way.Olfactive scenography by Marion Peylet.

Yiriane Kahn X Éléonore de Staël: “Perfume at the Heart of the Work”

For this series, Yiriane and Éléonore shared their artistic approach through a subtle dialogue on the theme of the cycle of life, and in particular motherhood. Their journey is a dialogue, But they do not speak with words. It is a play of instincts — a connection where art and perfume arouse an emotional resonance, an aesthetic and intuitive approach to creation.

Concretely, Yiriane was inspired by the structure of a perfume (the top, heart and base notes) to create her work in three stages, three layers, each of which contains the top, heart or base note... Assembled in a transparent case, the opening allows you to smell the entirety of the perfume... a tangible olfactory experience.

Karine Lahannier X Éléonore de Staël: “when smell dictates color”

Karine Lahannier is guided by scents: Together with Éléonore de Staël, they first explore raw materials such as rose, bergamot and amber. Each scent becomes a gateway to a palette of colors.

Throughout this olfactory journey, she first chose the theme of the forest. Eager to venture beyond her limits, she immerses herself in shades of emerald green and burnt green, in collaboration with Éléonore de Staël, who immediately understands her aspirations. Together, we discover the scents of tender moss, petrichor and wood, giving birth to the perfume “Forêt intemporelle”. She then procured all the shades of green from the Sennelier palette, capturing the variations of nature, intertwined with browns evoking the earth and trees. Karine took up the challenge and inspired Eléonore to create captivating worlds. This collaboration led to the creation of three exclusive perfumes: Foret intemporelle, Méditation and Miel Sacré.

Mai Khanh Pham To x Eléonore de Staël: “The immaterial exhilaration of odors and the materiality of the poetic object”

Mai thus opens a new field of artistic research that she called: “Investigation in the poetic object”.Through painting, text, and the materialization of the text into a “physical object”, through the creation of embodied poetic objects. She experiences joy in exploring the variety of fields, in inviting other souls to compose with her: It is in this spirit that Mai began her collaboration with Eléonore.For this exhibition, they embodied a creative dialogue: the fragrance of Eléonore Venus Erotica was written by two souls, four hands and a nose then inspiring new works mixing poetic text, visual arts and textile arts in the same desire and pleasure of a feminine expression of eroticism, sensuality and sexuality, dear to Anaïs Nin.

(IN)Visible, founded in 2024 by Marion Peylet, brings together three visual artists, Yiriane Kahn, Karine Lahannier and Mai Khanh Pham To and a perfume designer, Éléonore de Staël. The original idea of ​​(IN)Visible is to release the invisible energy of odors and perfume, in an artistic and sensory dialogue between perfume and visual art.
